Hi guys, just wanted to show my appreciation for the IFISA which has offered a great pathway for UK residents looking to tax wrap their crypto interests. Would it be possible to provide both the CBTC and ABTC options throught the IFISA? Only the ABTC is set up to be sharia compliant, due to the unfixed layer of loaning from investor holdings the CBTC is highly unlikely to qualify.

Hi, I’ve looked into this and 21shares ETPs don’t engage in lending, confirmation can be found in their base prospectus, page 126: “The Issuer may not enter into any lending transactions regarding the Collateral, or part thereof, in relation to any Products under the Programme.”
This would likely make their ETNs qualify for sharia compliance, although CBTC is not formally certified as sharia compliant.
As to whether we could reintroduce ABTC for this purpose we will review whether this may be possible.
