What is the MACD strategy and when could it be a better choice over other strategy types?

Based on Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), the idea is that the indicator will pick up on changes in trends and can give you entry and exit levels for a trade.
For me, the MACD indicator is really interesting! Fairly easy to understand compared with others, and overall a really great tool. Although no indicator will tell you the whole story (i.e. work all the time), and it’s always good to check several different types of indicators, I have used this and have seen it work! Definitely, one I like to backtest and compare
